City to Solent Bike Ride

St Catherine’s is calling all riders to take part in its City to Solent Bike Ride Challenge on 4th September.

This is the second year that the national charity has held the event, to support children and young people with communication disabilities, which raised over £12,000 in its inaugural year. The ride will see cyclists complete a 70 mile route from Oxshott, just outside London to Portsmouth. Funds raised through the bike ride will help St Catherine’s buy further therapy equipment to support its students from across the UK, as well as supporting The Worx, the charity’s vocational training unit.

As Susan Graves, Development Officer explained “Our first year was a great success and we want to make this year bigger and better. We would like to thank Wightlink, our sponsors and Southern Vectis, who have come on board this year to provide free transport up to Oxshott for Island participants”.

Free transport from the Isle of Wight, where St Catherine's is based, to Oxshott is available for a limited number of participants. Please find attached trip notes with further details of the ride.

If you would like a booking form or have any questions please contact Susan Graves on susan@stcatherines.org.uk or 01983 852722.
