How You Can Help

Our fundraising is vitally important to support the charity’s work in meeting the needs of children and young people with speech, language and communication needs.

Without charitable support St Catherine’s cannot maintain our first class service provision, invest in new technologies and services/projects to support children and young people or undertake capital developments.

We could not do this without your valued support.  You can help St Catherine’s in many ways:

If you would like to make a donation to St Catherine’s, you can do online (press the button to the right) or through downloading the donation form using the link on the right and sending it to:

The Development and Fundraising Office
St Catherine’s
Grove Road
Isle of Wight
PO38 1TT

You can make a regular donation by standing order.  Simply press the button on the right or download the form, complete and send to us at the above address.

Leaving a legacy to St Catherine’s.  By including a legacy to St Catherine’s in your will, you can help ensure our work will continue for future generations of children and young people with speech, language and communication difficulties.  Leaving a legacy can ease the burden of inheritance tax as legacies are usually tax free.  Ultimately your legacy will help change children’s lives for the better.  If you would like more information, please speak with Susan Graves on 01983 857209.

Support one of our fundraising events.  We hold numerous events and activities every year, the most famous of which - The Summer Fair - is hosted by St Catherine’s children and young people.  Please see our News and Events Page.  If you are unable to join one of the events you can support St Catherine’s through donating items for us to auction or as prizes for raffles or to sell at events.

Running your own fundraising event.  You may be inspired to run your own fundraising event.  Perhaps you could join a sponsored walk or run, have an event in your own home - for example a coffee morning or open your garden - at your place of work – team raffle, corporate day, golf day - or even a community event such as a concert, golf day or craft fair.

Payroll Giving.  If your employer offers Payroll Giving, you simply need to ask them to deduct regular charitable donations from your pay and stipulate that you would like it to go to St Catherine’s, charity number 288148.

Donating Shares to St Catherine’s.  Donating shares to a charity can provide tax incentives for individuals.  Shares, however small, can be turned into something of real value for children and young people with communication impairments.

Company Giving - matched giving.  Your company may have a policy for charitable support.  Many employers operate a matching scheme, whereby the company will match £ for £ any funds raised by an employee on behalf of the charity.  Ask your employer if they offer this, or would be willing to help you with your fundraising.

For more information, please speak to the Development and Fundraising Office at St Catherine's on 01983 852722.

Thank You.
