Severn Challenge

Seven Police Officers from the Isle of Wight are kayaking along the River Severn from its source in Mid Wales to the Severn Estuary at Gloucester (172 miles) between 25 and 30 April 2010.
Their mammoth challenge is to raise money for St Catherine's and Island Youth Water Activities.
Year 11 are following their progress this week with the challenge team ringing in each day with a set of questions about the area they have reached. On Wednesday 28 April they had reached Iron Bridge and the class has been researching who designed and built Iron Bridge and the traditional industries in that area.
By Friday morning they were at Tewkesbury and the question for the day was what significant event happened in Tewkesbury?
The team hope to arrive at Gloucester Docks around 5pm Friday afternoon.
