Vocational Learning at St Catherine's

In recent years St Catherine’s has developed its vocational learning service in recognition of the increasing need of young people with communication needs to gain the appropriate experience and opportunities to enable them to consider further learning/training or the right work environment.

We offer a spectrum of work-training facilities including arts and crafts, digital photography, music and beauty & personal care. Half-termly AQA accreditations are also offered in art and craft, media and more, non-accredited courses are also offered.

As well as providing courses for St Catherine's students, we welcome students from special needs units within mainstream schools and other voluntary sector organisations working with individuals with special needs. We also offer courses over the school holidays to young people with additional needs aged 11-18.

If you are interested in finding out more about the project and our approach we would be delighted to share our experiences with you.
