Travel Arrangements
St Catherine’s is a national charity and our children and young people come from across the UK and occasionally abroad to attend our specialist school and further education centre.
To enjoy all the benefits of being located on the beautiful Isle of Wight means there is a stretch of water between us and the mainland. However with car ferries, foot passenger fastcats and hovercraft carrying over 11 million passengers and 3 million vehicles every year that short Solent crossing is quicker and easier than a couple of junctions on the M25.
We offer a comprehensive escorted travel service. For weekly learners and those wishing to return home for a weekend the service travels to Southsea and Lymington every Friday returning Sunday. And for those wishing to return home at quarter term weekends, half term or full term holidays a full escorted travel service to Portsmouth, Lymington and Morden (South London) is provided.
We look forward to seeing parents and families at St Catherine’s. In addition to a host of lovely B&Bs and hotels available in Ventnor, St Catherine’s also has parent accommodation available on request.
